October 21st, 2005 – Pelesys signs long term agreement with United Airlines

Vancouver, BC, Canada - Pelesys Learning Systems Inc., a leading supplier of web-based computer training solutions for the aviation industry, has been selected by United Airlines flight training division to produce and deliver the CBT portion of their Eclipse 500 training program.

The courseware and training platform that Pelesys is offering for United is a complete enterprise-wide courseware deployment system. The system will be fully deployed over the Internet and includes 16 hours of Eclipse 500 pilot training courseware. The supplied training solution includes Pelesys’ fully web-based and AICC/SCORM compliant Learning Management System (LMS) and Exam Generation System (EGS). Using the training platform, United Airlines will be able to provide anyone requiring a type rating for the Eclipse 500 aircraft with home-based study prior to coming to the United Airlines training facility for the remainder of their type rating course.

Pelesys’ Eclipse 500 training solution will provide the technical accuracy, quality, and operating efficiencies that both United and Eclipse are looking for. The ability to deliver Eclipse 500 flight training remotely, on-line or off-line, while tracking trainees learning status, will enable United to provide their trainees with a flexible training solution. Pelesys’ training solution has been well received by the FAA and will help new pilots reach the required proficiency needed to operate these new Very Light Jet (VLJ) aircraft.

“With their off-the-shelf LMS and EGS systems, Pelesys has the experience necessary to provide United Airlines Flight Training with a unique, world-class CBT/WBT solution for our Eclipse 500 training program. Their solution is the latest in web-based training technology and provides us with the flexibility required to meet all regulatory requirements.” says Captain Brad Thomann, Managing Director Flight Standards and Training.
