- Pelesys Learning Systems Inc. a leading aviation Computer Based
Training (CBT) developer and supplier of integrated E-training solutions
for the aviation Industry has entered into an agreement with ALTEON, formerly
Flight Safety Boeing Training International (FSBTI), to supply their global
training facilities with Pelesys' A320 Computer Based Training program
for flight crew training.
The agreement
includes the delivery of Pelesys' standard configuration Airbus A320 CBT,
as well as the delivery of a separate Airbus A319 CBT configured specifically
for ALTEON's customers. Both the A319 and A320 CBT can be customized to
match any of ALTEON's customer aircraft configurations. All CBT customizations
will be provided by Pelesys Learning Systems Inc. The agreement also allows
Pelesys the first right to develop all of ALTEON's future Airbus CBT courseware.
The Pelesys'A319 and
A320 CBT solution is the most technologically advanced flight crew training
CBT offered worldwide. The courses feature extensive high-resolution 3D
simulations and graphics, digital audio and video, and multiple platform
delivery capabilities. This new generation technology delivers accurate
and realistic visual representations of the environment in which the pilots
will have to perform. Using industry standard software and hardware, Pelesys'
A319 and A320 courseware can be accessed via CD Rom, local area network
(LAN) or the Internet.
Pelesys' unique and
highly effective CBT approach significantly increases training effectiveness
and condenses learning time. The A319 and A320 CBT course can reduce the
time spent in a classroom by up to 50 percent drastically cutting training
cost while motivating the learner and improving retention of new information.
The pilot is able to transfer knowledge and skills effectively and safely
from the classroom to the workplace.
