Aeronett wins AIABC
Award of Leading Edge Training Innovator of the Year
Richmond, BC, Canada
- Aeronett, a leader in the design and development of technology-based
training (TBT) for the aerospace industry, was named Leading Edge Training
Innovator of the Year 2001 by the Aerospace Industry Association of British
Columbia (AIABC).
Designed by AIABC
to recognize innovative training means, the award was presented during
the association's Leading Edge Aerospace Awards Banquet held in Richmond
on March 30th. "We are very impressed with the innovative and entrepreneurial
approach this Richmond-based company has demonstrated in the area of training
technology", said Andrew Huige, Executive Director of AIABC during
the ceremony. "Given the level of technology competency within B.C.'s
aerospace industry, it is a great honor for our company to be selected
for this award".
"Most aerospace
companies
are already experiencing constrained growth due to the
shortage of qualified people," said Mr. Coughlin, President of AIABC
during a recent speech at the Vancouver Board of Trade. Aeronett enables
companies to train their employees fast and effectively while improving
training quality. Aeronett is the first company to demonstrate the delivery
of rich media aviation training live over the Internet, without compromising
speed and graphics quality.
The web-based training
system is applicable to maintenance personnel, flight and cabin crew training.
Compared to classroom instruction, Aeronett's solutions can reduce training
time by up to 50 - 70 %. The system provides learners with the flexibility
to study anytime anywhere. Students will spend less time at training centers
and can study according to their own schedules and knowledge levels. Companies
enjoy reduced expenses associated with student travel to and time spent
at training centers.
