Aeronett Announces On-Line Learning Technology

Richmond, BC, Canada - Aeronett announced today its capability to provide the aviation industry with computer-based training (CBT) courses on the web.

"About 18,000 pilots will be hired this year by U.S. airlines alone. We've recognized that efficient training methods are paramount to support this record growth, as airline training departments worldwide are struggling to keep up with demand." Says George Wang, Aeronett's Chief Technology Officer. Aeronett's on-line flight crew training provides airlines with unprecedented opportunities to save both time and money without sacrificing training quality.

CBT can reduce learning time by up to 50 % compared to conventional classroom training. On-line CBT offers both airlines and pilots additional benefits. According to George Wang, Aeronett's Vice President of Technology, "this method of learning allows the pilot to review and study the training material from any conventional computer. All that's required is Internet access." This provides pilots with the flexibility of studying at their own pace and according to their own schedule.

For the airlines, on-line CBT provides savings on travel time and expenses while improving instructional quality. It assures uniform, standardized, up-to date material and instructional consistency that is guaranteed to meet the airlines' quality requirements.

On-line CBT opens the door to a number of ways to increase training efficiency in the future. Assignments could be communicated to students at different locations. Through a secure login interface, data on student progress and performance could be collected and analyzed. The instructor would then be able to provide support according to a student's individual needs.
